We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced
Senior Linux System Engineer
to join our InComm Operations team. Ideally, you will have a strong background in Red Hat and Oracle Linux system administration, automation with Ansible, as well as deep expertise in Linux patching, scripting, and GIT version control.

Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and manage Linux system infrastructure, primarily Red Hat and Oracle Linux.
Develop, maintain, and optimize Ansible playbooks and roles for configuration management and deployment automation.
Perform advanced Linux patching, security updates, and OS hardening.
Write and maintain Bash scripts for automation and system maintenance tasks.
Administer and support Red Hat Satellite for system provisioning, patching, and lifecycle management.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex Linux system issues in a timely manner.
Collaborate with DevOps, application, and security teams to ensure consistent environments.
Manage source code and configuration using GIT repositories.
Monitor system performance, reliability, and security using industry-standard tools.
Document processes, system changes, and configurations.
Qualifications:
8+ years of experience in Linux System Administration (Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Oracle Linux).
Strong proficiency in Ansible, including custom module development and troubleshooting.
Advanced bash scripting skills for automation and system tasks.
Proficient in GIT for version control and collaboration.
Experience with Red Hat Satellite for system provisioning and patch management.
Deep understanding of Linux patching strategies, kernel upgrades, and OS lifecycle management.
Experience working in secure, enterprise IT environments.
Excellent problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) or equivalent certification.
Experience with other scripting languages such as Python or Perl.
Familiarity with configuration management, CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring tools.
Exposure to cloud environments (AWS, Azure) with Linux workloads.
Work Environment:
Requires participation in on-call rotation and after-hours support.
Fast-paced, collaborative IT infrastructure team.

**The Role**
As a System Administrator at Kyndryl, you'll administer and maintain Windows and Linux server environments hosted in Microsoft Azure. Provision, configure, and monitor Azure Virtual Machines (VMs) using the Azure Portal and Infrastructure-as-Code tools (e.g., ARM templates, Terraform). Ensure security hardening and compliance through patching, health checks, and vulnerability remediation. Collaborate within the Virtual Machine squad to deliver scalable, secure, and resilient infrastructure solutions. Troubleshoot complex OS-level issues and participate in incident response and root cause analysis.
There's never a typical day as a System Administrator at Kyndryl, because no two projects are alike. You'll identify systemic issues and proactively contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Operate effectively in both Agile and traditional project delivery environments. Communicate technical information clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for systems, processes, and procedures. Participate in regular team meetings to review status, raise issues, and track action items. Adapt quickly to shifting priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- Proven experience in Windows Server administration in enterprise or cloud-native environments
- Familiarity with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Security Center
- Hands-on expertise with Azure IaaS, including VM provisioning, scaling, and monitoring
- Demonstrated ability to document procedures and technical workflows clearly and consistently
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, firewalls, load balancers) in cloud contexts
- Experience with vulnerability remediation workflows and maintaining audit-ready evidence
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Good English communication skill to handle meetings with clients, partners and co-workers
- Bachelor's Degree
Preferred Technical and Professional Experience
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104) or equivalent
- Experience in Linux Server administration in enterprise or cloud-native environments
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and integration with Azure DevOps

  • L2 Alert Management. Management of alerts that require knowledge for resolutions, creating and/or updating resolutions into knowledge base, run books, scripts and ITRS rules where possible
  • Incident Management. Managing of incident lifecycle from identification to resolution, ensuring mitigation of business impact in the production environment.
  • Change Management. Management of the process of making production changes to the ticker plant like Mandatory updates which includes content, software changes/upgrades that are performed by vendors or internal teams where only checkouts are necessary.
  • Others: Release Management, Event Management, User support, Reporting.


What We're Looking For?

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in infrastructure, systems, or production support roles
  • Highly skilled in Linux System Administration
  • Experience in Windows operating systems
  • Scripting proficiency (Bash and/or Python preferred)
  • Experience with networking and connectivity skills e.g. multicast , routing, switches, TCP/IP.
  • Good communication and oral and written English skills is a must
  • Understanding of ITIL Foundation and IT Best practices
