- Certificar-se de que os parâmetros adequados estejam inseridos no software de navegação e no software do sistema hidroacústico;
- Operar e realizar manutenção de todos os equipamentos de Survey a bordo do navio;
- Preparar e manter atualizado os esquemas de interligação dos cabos que deverão ser submetidos ao Coordenador de Survey para avaliação prévia;
- Dependendo da tarefa a ser realizada, coordenar as operações entre o ROV, a embarcação e outras unidades ao redor;
- Estar familiarizado com os requisitos técnicos de cada operação, buscando a redução de risco de acidentes / incidentes pessoais e materiais na realização das mesmas;
- Implementar os procedimentos internos da DSB e do Cliente (quando pertinente) no seu ambiente de trabalho;
- Garantir que todos os equipamentos de Survey estejam calibrados e/ou dentro do prazo de validação estipulado pelo fabricante, bem como os procedimentos de calibração relevantes estejam disponíveis para consulta a bordo;
- Garantir que apenas as cópias do certificado de calibração dos equipamentos de Survey estejam a bordo, devendo o original ser enviado para a base;
- Estar sempre disponível a atender as solicitações do cliente e de seus superiores a bordo;
- Assegurar que os dados coletados estejam de acordo com os padrões da empresa e procedimentos relevantes através do seu monitoramento em tempo real;
- Realizar manutenção preventiva e corretiva nos equipamentos e garantir que todos estejam em ótimas condições de uso, assim como manter atualizado o histórico de manutenção dos equipamentos a bordo e relatórios de manutenções preventivas e corretivas;
- Trabalhar em conjunto com o ROV e demais setores a bordo, auxiliando nas manutenções relacionadas aos equipamentos de Survey instalados;
- Certificar-se de que todo o equipamento a bordo esteja adequadamente identificado quando operacional, desembarque (sucata, reparo em terra, recalibração.) ou no aguardo de peças para reparo a bordo;
- Participar do planejamento e execução de mobilização e desmobilização, certificando-se de que os equipamentos a serem utilizados estejam de acordo com as exigências contratuais, padrões técnicos e de segurança exigidos e as respectivas cópias de seus certificados estejam inclusos e serão arquivados a bordo;
- Conhecer e manter os sistemas de distribuição de imagens (ROV / Navipac / Sonar / HIPAP / Video Link);
- Acompanhar junto ao Coordenador de Survey os pedidos de materiais pendentes e certificar-se que o inventário de spare parts e consumíveis a bordo estejam atualizado;
- Realizar analise de risco para as tarefas de bordo;
- Reportar e acompanhar deficiências, equipamentos danificados, reuniões de segurança ou incidentes/ acidentes, utilizando o sistema apropriado de relatório;
- Realizar o correto preenchimento de WRF/ EF / NCR/ RDO/ wwDPR originados pelo setor de Survey a bordo, entendendo que estes relatórios deverão ser claros e detalhados para prover toda informação necessária ao suporte técnico de terra (no caso do wwDPR, apenas quando pertinente);
- Preencher, prover o Surveyor Supervisor / Surveyor Superintendente com os dados principais e elaborar relatórios;
- Realizar manutenção e tratamento de pintura dos conjuntos associados aos equipamentos de Survey;
- Curso Técnico em Eletrônica ou Técnico em Edificações/Estradas ou Técnico em Eletrotécnica ou Técnico em Informática ou Processamento de Dados ou Superior completo em Oceanografia, Cartografia ou Geologia ou Biologia Marinha ou Geografia
- Experiência na área de Survey;

We are currently seeking a Surveyor to join our Infrastructure Services Team.
As a Survey Technician, you will be responsible for delivering accurate and cost-effective survey services to support the development and operational planning of the mine. Your work will play a critical role in ensuring that mining instructions are precisely communicated and executed, contributing to the safe and efficient development of the mine site.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality surveying assignments in support of mine development and operations.
Stake out drill patterns and ore/waste packets with precision and efficiency.
Provide survey marks that guide development work to correct dimensions and grades.
Plan, execute, and post-process drone flights across the mine site as requested.
Collaborate with engineers and mining personnel to translate designs into actionable on-site instructions.
Ensure the proper maintenance, calibration, and usage of survey instruments and equipment.
The ideal candidate will have:
Technical High School diploma (MBO), preferably from NATIN (Landmeetkunde).
At least 2 years of relevant experience in surveying, preferably within a mining or industrial setting.
Proficient in the use of survey equipment, such as Total Stations, GNSS, and Drones.
Familiarity with standard surveying software for data collection and processing.
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English; Sranan Tongo is an advantage.
Willingness to work on a 14-day on / 7-day off rotational schedule in Brokopondo.

Overview
Join to apply for the Surveyor I role at American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) . The Surveyor I is an entry or junior-level position for new graduates and/or those candidates with less than five (5) years of experience in an applicable industry. The Surveyor I, under a direct supervisor, performs work involving conventional surveying practices. The primary function is to develop the ability to effectively examine and report on vessels and other marine structures during and after construction relative to compliance with the applicable requirements for maintaining the vessel in Classification with ABS and meeting associated statutory and special service requirements related to Safety of Life at Sea, Loadline, Tonnage, Cargo Gear and Pollution Prevention Certification.
What You Will DoWhat You Will Do (with the assistance and guidance of an experienced ABS Surveyor):
- Acts as a professional specialist for the organization in the application of related rules, regulations, requirements, concepts, principles, and processes.
- Performs routine surveys on classed vessels, platforms, or other marine structures and at manufacturers for classification and compliance with statutory requirements.
- Prepares technically accurate and timely reports of inspections and surveys performed.
- Engages in contact with clients to resolve problems within areas of expertise.
- Maintains survey files in an orderly and up-to-date manner in the area of responsibility.
- Develops the skills necessary for the administration of office procedures and monitoring of business performance at an assigned port.
- Through broader and more technically challenging work assignments, the individual must develop a thorough understanding of field operations, policies, methods, and procedures.
Education and Experience
- Qualifications from a tertiary institution within a relevant field of engineering or physical science (minimum two (2) years program); or
- Qualifications from a marine or nautical institution and relevant seagoing experience as a certificated ship officer, and
- Proficiency in the English language commensurate with the scope of statutory certification and services and, before assignment, with their future work.
- Appropriate certification and/or licenses in areas of specialization may be required.
- Ability to develop a working knowledge of ABS Rules, Guides, statutory regulations, and related instructions, as well as the ABS Employee Safety Policy.
- Ability to read engineering plans and have a basic understanding of shipbuilding practices and vessel operations.
- Ability to perform surveys in the prescribed format.
- Knowledge of computer programs or software packages related to job responsibilities.
- Knowledge of related technical interfaces required for group project work.

Overview

UTEC is looking to add a Senior Surveyor to the team. The Senior Surveyor is UTEC's senior representative on a watch reporting to Party Chief or senior representative on vessel and must ensure that all work is conducted in the best interests of UTEC and the Client. He/She must thoroughly understand work specifications, project requirements and client objectives, and is responsible for the safe, efficient and timely execution of, as well as Quality Assurance for the project.
The role is based offshore and will require travel to support UTEC operations, periods of onshore support may also be required working either remotely or from UTEC offices/workshops.
The successful candidates will be based in Brazil.
Duties- Supervise survey operations ensuring safe working practices at all times and with due regard to contractual requirements, scope of work, procedures and regulations
- Manage mobilization and demobilization activities with regard to safety of personnel and assets
- Ensure all systems are functioning in compliance with contractual requirements, project procedures and company procedures to effectively conduct the scope of work
- Ensure collection, collation, QC and distribution of all survey data relating to the scope of work as per project procedures and company procedures
- Advise onshore management, company and client representatives when deviation from the approved procedure is necessary and record through the Management of Change Procedure
- Compile operational / field reporting in a concise manner and in accordance with project procedures, client specifications and company procedures
- Complete final reporting and data transfer / backup in accordance with project procedures, client specifications and company procedures
- Effectively communicate with client representatives and company representatives onshore
- Ensure all personnel in the offshore team understand their roles and responsibilities
- Conduct personnel performance reviews/appraisals for your direct reports and provide specific performance data/feedback to supervisors of non-direct reports assigned to your projects
- Actively participate and lead by example in the Company's Quality and HSE systems and procedures
- Understand and comply with UTEC policies and procedures
- Be prepared to "Stop the Job" in the event that yourself, others or equipment may be exposed to injury / damage

We're Hiring: Senior Quantity Surveyor for Luxury Fit-Out Projects
ALEC FITOUT, a division of ALEC Holdings and part of the Investment Corporation of Dubai (ICD), is a leading specialist in high-end interior fit-out and refurbishment projects across the hospitality, commercial, cultural, and retail sectors. We bring visionary interiors to life through precision execution and world-class craftsmanship.
ALEC FITOUT is seeking a specialized Senior Quantity Surveyor who will be responsible for overseeing all financial and contractual aspects of the project. You will play a critical role in ensuring the project is completed within budget while maintaining the highest standards of quality.
- Please note that this role will be assigned to ALEC FITOUT projects located in the UAE & KSA.
- The position requires a six-day working week , which is mandatory for all site-based roles.
- Successful candidates must be eligible to obtain a work visa for UAE or KSA.
Your Role:
- Manage commercial and contractual aspects of luxury fit-out projects.
- Develop and maintain tender budgets and procurement strategies.
- Lead subcontractor tendering, negotiations, and manage project claims.
- Oversee cost control, progress invoicing, and financial reporting.
- Lead and mentor the commercial team for successful project delivery.
What You’ll Need:
- Degree in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent).
- 8+ years’ experience, with 5+ years in luxury interior fit-out projects.
- Proven skills in contract management, cost control, and subcontractor management.
- Strong commercial awareness, leadership, and negotiation skills.
- Fluent in English
