At Water Services and Technologies , we have a highly specialized team passionate about delivering practical, cost-effective solutions in groundwater and surface water, hydrogeochemistry, hydrogeotechnics, technology, and environmental data management.
In this role, you will lead and manage our Technology team , drive architectural decisions, and ensure the efficiency, reliability, and scalability of our systems. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to create robust data architectures that meet business needs while fostering an environment of innovation and technical excellence.
Responsabilities
- Manage and Lead our Technology Team: Alocar tarefas e orientar o fluxo de trabalho do time, acompanhar progresso das entregas, fazer a ponte entre product owners, gerentes de projeto, equipe e diretoria.
- Design & Implement scalable, cloud-native architectures (AWS preferred; Azure/GCP also considered) with a focus on microservices.

- Lead Technology Decisions regarding stack selection (Express.js, Node.js, React.js, Next.js, Nest.js, React Native) and infrastructure (Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD pipelines).
- Collaborate with cross-functional Agile/Scrum teams to align architecture with business goals, prioritizing scalability, resilience, and cost efficiency.
- Drive Observability & Optimization through tools like Prometheus and Grafana, and database tuning (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
- Mentor & Manage developers, conduct code reviews, and ensure secure coding practices are followed.
- Communicate Effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, translating business needs into actionable technical solutions.
- Shape the Technology Roadmap by balancing business priorities with long-term technical evolution.
- Document architecture, processes, and technical decisions to ensure smooth maintenance and future development.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in web application development, preferably with SaaS products.
- Proven experience as a team lead or senior developer with strong leadership skills.
- Strong expertise in designing and architecting scalable, secure systems.
- Proficiency in modern frontend frameworks (React, Angular, or Vue.js).
- Solid backend development skills in Node.js, Python, or Ruby on Rails.
- Experience with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
- Knowledge of relational (MS SQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB) databases.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) and DevOps practices.
- Strong understanding of data security, encryption, and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
- Fluent in Portuguese and English (written and spoken).
- Experience with AI/ML, data analytics, or big data technologies.
- Proven background in Agile/Scrum environments.

Mission
- Guide and support the day-to-day implementation of technology transformation projects, focusing on the delivery and operationalization of strategic initiatives to achieve significant outcomes and impact

Essential functions
- Design and develop architecture, cloud infrastructure, and data infrastructure aligned with business strategy
- Contribute to IT assessments, specifically assessing application and infrastructure architecture, to help surface pain points and opportunities in the context of enterprise transformations in line with benchmarks and best practices
- Participate in end-to-end technology and digital transformation projects, solving the most pressing needs of our clients
- Establish and implement PMO tools such as Microsoft Project, ServiceNow, LeanIX from inception, guiding the team through onboarding to ensure seamless project operations and efficiency
- Execute project management activities, ensuring adherence to established methodologies, processes, and standards within the PMO
- Help oversee the preparation and refinement of project deliverables, including comprehensive reports, workshop materials, and compelling business proposals, ensuring alignment with project objectives and client expectations
- Drive continuous improvement of the project management process to enhance project delivery efficiency, effectiveness, and quality
- Support in managing and coaching teams to researchand understandthe client organization and industry; interview, conduct focus groups and facilitate workshops with client employees, management teams and other stakeholders
- Identify and capitalize on value-creation opportunities in each client situation, ensuring that strategic initiatives translate into measurable business impact
- Ensure the development and monitoring of business cases within technology transformation plans, guaranteeing the realization of their intended value and recommending corrective actions to maximize value capture
- Organize the work of the team by allocating clear responsibilities among case team members

ABOUT YOU
Education
- Required: Bachelor's degree preferably in Business Administration, Computer Science / Engineering, Information management or other tech-related fields
- Preferred: MBA, courses in digital/tech transformation
Experience
- 6+ years of experience in consulting, a start-up or other business environment, preferably within the Tech industry
- Experience in architectural solutions for financial services, such as core banking implementation or modernization, payment solutions, internet banking, and other financial services technologies
- Experience with project management for large tech transformations
- Experience collaboratingwith other vendor partners (e.g., IBM, Accenture)
- Experience conducting stakeholder interviews and facilitating workshops to identify process gaps and opportunities for improvement
Knowledge, skills and abilities
- Passionate about technology topics including architecture, process excellence, cloud, delivery assurance, etc.
- Knowledge of project management methodologies and best practices in program management, process improvement, and risk management to deliver tangible results and value through project management expertise
- Experience in developing and managing client relationships driving collaboration and effective decision making
- Adept at bridging software and systems expertise with business leadership requirements
