Job Description

The Professional Services Project Manager will lead projects and programs as part of the delivery cycle, including handling all deployment resources and ensuring that all deliverables are met and delivered on-time and under budget. You will drive customer deployment projects including program, process initiatives, as well as partner with IT on systems and infrastructure processes.

• Help with the team goals, for example actively working to reduce the backlog, increase CSAT responses and overall quality, Revenue recognition and forecasting
• Determine project partners and team structure/organization partners will include technical and business resources
• In conjunction with project partners, help ensure the definition of project scope, requirements, and deliverables
• Develop project timeline and landmarks using appropriate tools and techniques
• Build and execute project work plans and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements
• Identify resources needed and assign individual responsibilities and tasks
• Run day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope
• Work on services operational projects that target new services IP delivery, partner communications, scheduling, etc.
• Review deliverables prepared by team before passing to client
• Effectively apply our methodology and implement project standards
• Minimize our exposure and risk on all projects
• Ensure project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately
• Track and report team hours and expenses on a weekly basis

Candidate Profile

Your Experience

• 10+ years related work experience or leading complex projects.
• Analyze project profitability, revenue, margins, bill rates, and utilization
• Strong proficiency with project management software, such as Microsoft Project, Clarizen, @task, or Liquid Planner
• Good presentation skills including written, oral, presentation (including Microsoft PowerPoint), and adaptive (multi-level)
• Good organizational skills including tool utilization (spreadsheets, project management tools, mind maps), information collection, attention to detail, and prioritization
• Strong interpersonal skills including appreciation and the ability to elicit collaboration from a wide variety of sources, including upper management, clients, and other departments
• Flexible to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines - able to promptly and expertly react to project adjustments and alterations
• Project Management Institute PMP(r) certification or equivalent a plus
• Experience with Google’s G Suite (Drive, Docs, Sheets, and Slides) is a plus

What you’ll be doing:

• Manage cross-functional project teams;
• Coordinate and control team activities, including technical implementation tasks, process reengineering, and organizational change activities to achieve desired results;
• Prepare project execution plans and ensure projects are completed on schedule, within budget, meet technical requirements, and achieve business objectives. Manage budget and schedule;
• Select, develop and leverage appropriate technical and business resources needed for successful project execution;
• Align the project team around the project’s visions, strategy, goals, methodology and business objectives;
• Manage project resources and external stakeholders such as subcontractors and service suppliers;
• Lead regular project reviews with external and internal stakeholders, including senior IT and business leaders;
• Coordinate and maintain program communications;
• Ensure project results are of the highest caliber, meeting technical and behavioral objectives, business case targets, and planned value;

What we are looking for:

• Projects Manager with +7 years of experience as IT Project Manager;
• Experience leading functional and technical teams to deliver IT solutions;
• Experience leading projects as a service provider;
• Experience working independently in a team-oriented, collaborative environment;
• Degree in IT, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Business or Finance or related field, or equivalent combination of work experience in IT Project management plus applicable schooling/certifications;
• Proficiency in English is mandatory ;

What would be a plus:

• Project Management certifications;
• Experience in managing projects in Retail context and/or experience with Oracle Retail suite of applications;

This role reports directly to the Operations Director and is part of the ALEC Data Centre Solutions core delivery team. The project delivery function oversees execution, programme coordination, stakeholder engagement, and quality control across all phases of construction. The team works closely with Planning, Commercial, Procurement, QA/QC, HSE, and Site Operations to ensure flawless execution.

• Develop detailed execution strategies and monitor risk, procurement, and resource plans.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations.
• Oversee reporting, performance tracking, and contractual obligations.
• Coordinate technical reviews, design validations, and issue resolution.
• Manage change controls and support commercial teams in claims and EOT matters.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience: 10+ years of project management experience, preferably in complex construction or mission-critical environments (e.g., data centres, hospitals, infrastructure).
