The Amazon International Technology Team is hiring Software Development Engineers to work in our Software Development Center in Sao Paulo. The IES LATECH & GIS team builds International extensions and new features of the Amazon.com web site for individual countries and creates systems to support Amazon operations. We have already worked in Germany, France, UK, India, China, Italy, Brazil and more.
A Software Development Engineer (SDE) at Amazon works on real world problems on a global scale, owns their systems end to end and influences the direction of our technology that impacts hundreds of millions of customers around the world.
At Amazon an SDE can expect to design flexible and scalable solutions, and work on some of the most complex challenges in large-scale computing by utilizing your skills in data structures, algorithms, and object oriented programming. Amazon internships across all seasons are full-time positions, and interns should expect to work in office, Monday-Friday, up to 40 hours per week typically between 8am-5pm. A day in the life

Key job responsibilities

Basic Qualifications

Work on the Brazil Payments team to enable a wide range of payment options for Amazon customers in Brazil

About the team
The Fleet Management team is responsible for critical infrastructure that enables seamless coordination between eero devices and the eero Cloud platform. We implement and manage secure boot processes to guarantee device integrity and security from the ground up, while developing and deploying reliable over-the-air (OTA) firmware update mechanisms that keep our entire fleet current and secure. Additionally, we build and maintain speed test capabilities to insure users networks as fast as possible.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor in Brazil geographic markets. The base pay for this full-time, permanent position ranges from BRL R$9,500 to BRL R$ 10,500 per month (in addition to Amazon Restricted Stock Units and Sign-on Payments in Year 1 and Year 2).
Key job responsibilities
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Currently enrolled in Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Information Systems.
- Completed Bachelor's or Graduate degree in specified fields (Last 24months)
- Knowledge of at least one general-purpose programming language such as Java, Python, C++, C#, Go, Rust, or TypeScript
- Knowledge of one or more of the following:
Data structures implementation; Basic algorithm development; Object-oriented design principles ;Must be 18 years of age or older
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous technical internship(s) or demonstrated project experience
- Knowledge of one or more of the following:
- AI tools for development productivity
- Cloud platforms (preferably AWS)
- Database systems (SQL and NoSQL)
- Contributing to open-source projects
- Version control systems
- Debugging and troubleshooting complex systems
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Demonstrated ability to learn and adapt to new technologies quickly
- Basic understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC)

The Amazon International Technology Team is hiring Software Development Engineers to work in our Software Development Center in Sao Paulo. The IES LATECH & GIS team builds International extensions and new features of the Amazon.com web site for individual countries and creates systems to support Amazon operations. We have already worked in Germany, France, UK, India, China, Italy, Brazil and more.
A Software Development Engineer (SDE) at Amazon works on real world problems on a global scale, owns their systems end to end and influences the direction of our technology that impacts hundreds of millions of customers around the world.
At Amazon an SDE can expect to design flexible and scalable solutions, and work on some of the most complex challenges in large-scale computing by utilizing your skills in data structures, algorithms, and object oriented programming. Coming to Amazon gives you the opportunity to work on a small development team in one of our many rapidly growing organizations.

Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
- 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
