Purpose of the Role

  • Monitor manufacturing, coating, welding, and heat treatment processes with suppliers and internal workshops.
  • Support the team in evaluating component failures and preparing technical reports.
  • Contribute to the update of technical specifications, internal standards, and engineering documentation.
  • Collaborate with Quality, Supply Chain, and Operations areas to ensure the correct application of materials.
  • Participate in technical and safety training, developing skills for career progression.


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in progress or recently completed in Materials Engineering or Metallurgical Engineering.
  • Advanced to fluent English.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, mechanical properties, corrosion, and welding.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and engineering support software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or equivalent – considered a plus).

Overview
The Director, HR Transformation plays a pivotal role in advancing Mastercard's People Operations & Insights strategy. This role is responsible for leading enterprise-wide transformation initiatives that enhance operational efficiency, drive innovation, and improve user experience across the People & Capability (P&C) function. This position combines strategic thinking, stakeholder engagement, and program execution to deliver measurable business value.

Key Responsibilities

  • Program & Portfolio Leadership:

Lead the end-to-end execution of large-scale, cross-functional transformation initiatives. Build and manage integrated project plans, ensuring alignment with the broader P&C roadmap and business objectives.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Partner with key internal stakeholders—including Technology, Legal, Risk, Finance, Global Business Services, and P&C leadership—to coordinate efforts, manage dependencies, and resolve roadblocks across workstreams.

  • Governance & Reporting:

Establish and maintain reporting mechanisms (dashboards, scorecards, executive briefings) to communicate project status, risks, and outcomes to senior leadership and steering committees.

  • Process Optimization:

Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities within P&C operations. Leverage data and insights to streamline workflows and enhance processes.

Qualifications

  • 5–10 years of experience in project or program management, with a strong focus on HR transformation or enterprise change management.
  • Deep understanding of HR functions, including HR Business Partners, Centers of Excellence, HR Operations, and HR Technology.
  • Demonstrated success in managing complex projects using both SDLC and Agile methodologies.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and communicate across all levels of the organization.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and process mapping tools (e.g., Visio).
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking capabilities; able to synthesize complex data to drive decisions and actions.

This role requires a dynamic professional who can manage complex projects and foster strong relationships across multiple business units and regions, ensuring Medtronic's continued growth and success in the market, collaborating closely with the Regional Director of Process Improvement & Project Management Office to ensure that all strategic projects are on track to meet both business and internal objectives. You will act leading multidisciplinary teams related to project scope but will not have direct reports. The position is located in Latam (Brazil, Colombia, Mexico, Argentina or Chile) and follows a hybrid working model.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

  • Lead cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategic projects that enhance Medtronic's market position
  • Partner with the LATAM senior leadership team to drive collaboration and ensure that each project supports the broader business goals, acting as the primary point of contact for project-related inquiries and updates

Required Knowledge and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, and related areas
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in consulting and / or program or project management, preferably in a corporate setting and large enterprises

Familiarity with Agile and / or Lean Management methodologies and frameworks, and with Project Management tools and software (e.g., Microsoft Project, JIRA, Smartsheet, etc.)
- Fluency in Portuguese and / or Spanish, both verbal and written and in English, as a mandatory second language
- Experience in customer-facing roles, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and relationship management

Familiarity with enterprise software solutions and IT infrastructure; certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional), PgMP (Program Management Professional), Lean Six-Sigma (Green Belt, Black Belt, etc.), ICAgile; experience working in the healthcare or medical device industry managing projects across different geographical regions and cultures.
