We are hiring a Junior Project Manager
Our mission is to streamline and accelerate the adoption of open source across the entire global enterprise technology market. Our customers embrace the Canonical approach to open source for complex projects on bare metal, on the cloud, and at the edge.
Our Project Managers are responsible for ensuring project success through owning, driving, communicating and respectfully engaging all stakeholders, valuing integrity and accountability.
Within a portfolio of projects with complex and changing software technologies, customer and partner satisfaction is only possible because of exceptional Project Managers who know how to respect and engage all stakeholders.
The role entails
- Ensuring programs and projects are delivered within the schedule, scope, cost, budget and resources expectations
- Supporting in identifying key technical and project risks and issues and actively put mitigating actions in place
- Maintaining strong customer focus and work with all key stakeholders to achieve successful outcomes
- Assisting in conducting regular status meetings and business reviews with customers
- Supporting with the delivery schedule of critical third party deliverables for the project
- Advocating to customers the appropriate technologies from Canonical's portfolio
The successful Junior Project Manager will have solid academic achievement in science, software engineering and/or information technology field, excellent written and verbal communications skills in English and a solution oriented mindset. You will be able to "make things happen" with a professional approach and effective negotiation techniques. You have demonstrated leadership skills in your school or university life.
- Exceptional academic track record from both high school and university
- Undergraduate degree in a technical subject or a compelling narrative about your alternative chosen path
- Confidence to respectfully speak up, exchange feedback, and share ideas without hesitation
- Track record of going above-and-beyond expectations to achieve outstanding results

Principais Responsabilidades
- Conduzir a gestão completa de projetos de marketing, garantindo prazos, escopo e orçamento;
- Alinhar tarefas e cronogramas entre diferentes áreas internas e parceiros externos;
- Utilizar ferramentas como Asana para acompanhar entregas, definir prioridades e monitorar marcos de projeto;
- Desenvolver relatórios e apresentações em Excel e PowerPoint para reportar andamento e resultados a lideranças;
- Antecipar riscos e criar planos de mitigação para manter a execução sob controle;
- Organizar e manter atualizada toda a documentação dos projetos (atas, planos de ação, status reports);
- Acompanhar fornecedores e prestadores de serviço, garantindo a qualidade e os prazos contratados;
- Participar ativamente na melhoria contínua de processos e na disseminação de boas práticas de gestão de projetos.

Location: This is a Globally remote role.
The role entails
- Ensuring programs and projects are delivered within the schedule, scope, cost, budget and resources expectations
- Identifying key technical and project risks and issues and actively put mitigating actions in place
- Maintaining strong customer focus and working with all key stakeholders to achieve successful outcomes
- Conducting regular status meetings and business reviews with customers and providing direction when needed
- Managing the delivery schedule of critical third party deliverables for the project
- Advocating to customers the appropriate technologies from Canonical's portfolio
- Driving project success while managing risks
- Experience in Enterprise IT Programs, Process Improvement, and Software Engineering Project Management
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Experience leading cross-cultural, remote and global project teams and customers.
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills
- Strong communication skills
- Deep understanding of Linux, Open Source, and Cloud Technologies
- Bachelor's Degree in a STEM discipline
- Project Management Certification, preferably PMP or equivalent certification
- Agile Project Management certification, preferably Scrum Master or equivalent certification
- Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally

A PERM Project Manager will support clients with the planning, organization, and execution of advertising projects. This is an administrative, non-technical role focused on scheduling, documentation, communication, and ensuring smooth day-to-day project operations. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, proactive, and skilled at coordinating across teams and stakeholders to keep projects on track.
This is a fully remote position. Working hours will be in Eastern Standard Time (United States time zone). Fluency in spoken and written English is required as you will be collaborating with U.S.-based team members and clients.

- Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects
- Quality assurance functions that involve the careful review of documents for accuracy and consistency
