Overview
In security risk management we're looking to harness the power of industry best practice combined with driving new innovation on how we do security risk assessments and modelling. Our security risk management team is the primary owner of the strategy and practices of how we identify, track and reduce our security risk across everything we do. To support this we use industry best practices paired with emerging threat information to promote risk identification, quantification, impact analysis, and modelling to ultimately drive decision making. In this role, you will help establish and execute a broad strategic vision for the security risk program at Canonical. You will work within the team and cross-functionally with various teams across the organisation. The team contributes ideas and requirements for Canonical product security, improving the resilience and robustness of all Ubuntu customers and users subject to cyber attacks. Additionally, the team collaborates with our Organisational Learning and Development team to develop playbooks and facilitate security training across Canonical.
The security risk management team’s mission is not only to secure Canonical, but also to contribute to the security of the wider open source ecosystem. They might share knowledge through public presentations and industry events, and share threat intelligence with the wider community or represent Canonical in sector-specific governance bodies.
What you will do in this role- Define Canonical's security risk management standards and playbooks
- Analyse and improve Canonical's security risk practices
- Evaluate, select and implement new security requirements, tools and practices
- Grow the presence and thought leadership of Canonical security risk management practice
- Develop Canonical security risk learning and development materials
- Work with Security leadership to present information and influence change
- Participate in developing key risk indicators, provide inputs to the development of key control indicators, and key performance indicators for various programs
- Apply statistical models to risk frameworks (such as FAIR, sensitivity analysis, and others)
- Participate in risk management, decision-making, and collaborative discussions
- Lead quantified risk assessments and understand the value of qualitative data for improvements to quality and engineering processes
- Interpret internal or external cyber security risk analyses in business terms and recommend a responsible course of action
- Develop templates and materials to help with self-service risk management actions
- Monitor and identify opportunities to improve the effectiveness of risk management processes
- Launch campaigns to perform security assessments and help mitigate security risks across the company
- Build evaluation methods and performance indicators to measure efficiency of security functions and capabilities
- An exceptional academic track record
- Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or STEM, or a compelling narrative about your alternative path

What You Will DoAre you passionate about protecting data and systems from cyber threats? Do you have the skills and experience to lead a team of cybersecurity professionals? If yes, then we have an exciting opportunity for you! As Cybersecurity & Compliance Manager within Aftermarket Technology / Diagnostic Platform Engineering, you will build, lead, and mature our Cyber Security operational capabilities. This includes establishing the Cyber Security Team at our Curitiba, Gothenburg, and Bangalore sites and representing our function in Volvo’s Product and Information Cyber Security Management System structures.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement security policies, procedures, controls, and best practices;
- Conduct and coordinate risk assessments and audits, and recommend mitigation strategies;
- Provide subject matter expertise for cybersecurity in onboard and offboard scenarios in the automotive context;
- Represent the organization in cross-functional committees and initiatives related to Product and Information Cyber Security;
- Respond to security incidents and breaches, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders;
- Guide and train staff and clients on security awareness and best practices;
- Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity trends and developments;
- Contribute to the architecture and roadmap for applications and services to ensure a holistic cybersecurity approach (DevSecOps).
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information security, or a related field;
- Extensive experience in cybersecurity, preferably in a managerial or supervisory role;
- Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSK, CEH, or equivalent; knowledge of standards like ISO 27001, ISO 21434, NIST, GDPR;
- Experience with security tools and technologies such as TARA, SIEM, IDS/IPS, VPN;
- Excellent communication, leadership, networking, and problem-solving skills;
- Experience working in global enterprises;
- Experience in risk, compliance, and information security policy development;
- High integrity and professionalism.

As a Senior Cyber Security Analyst, your mission will be to proactively protect EBANX’s digital assets, payment infrastructure, and customer data from cyber threats, ensuring a secure and compliant environment. You will play a strategic role in strengthening endpoint and network security, incident response, and regulatory compliance, reducing risks that could impact EBANX’s operations, reputation, and financial performance. By implementing advanced security controls, threat intelligence, and proactive defense mechanisms, you will help EBANX scale its business securely, maintain customer and partner trust, and drive innovation by staying ahead of cybersecurity challenges.
You will also be responsible for:
- Managing vulnerabilities , including scanning and analyzing systems and networks, prioritizing, and coordinating remediation with IT and development teams.
- Monitoring threats and responding to incidents by detecting, analyzing, and mitigating cyberattacks in real time, managing security incidents to minimize operational and financial impacts, and conducting forensic analysis.
- Implementing and managing EDR/XDR solutions for device protection , ensuring network infrastructure security, preventing unauthorized access, and applying network segmentation and Zero Trust policies.
- Supporting security audits and ensuring compliance with PCI-DSS, ISO 27001, LGPD, and other regulations, collaborating with risk, legal, and compliance teams.
- Monitoring threat trends and anticipating cyber risks , analyzing attack indicators, and working with frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK.
- Ensuring the protection of AWS, Azure, and on-premises infrastructures by applying best practices in hardening and encryption to safeguard sensitive data.
Main requirements for this position:
- Proven experience in cybersecurity, incident response, vulnerability management, and infrastructure protection.
- Advanced knowledge of security architecture.
- Experience with EDR/XDR, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and SIEM.
- Knowledge in malware analysis, threat intelligence, and cyberattack mitigation.
- Proficiency in security frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK, NIST CSF, and CIS Controls.
- Experience in cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP), including implementing hardening and encryption measures.
- Ability to conduct security testing, vulnerability scans, and forensic analysis.
- Knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, VPNs, and network segmentation for threat prevention.
- Advanced English
