Responsabilidades e atribuições
Atividades:
- realizar procedimentos operacionais de rotina, incluindo a execução de ferramentas/scripts de automação especificados;
- corrigir as tarefas de automação existentes sob supervisão para obter uma compreensão básica da linguagem de script/ferramentas de automação;
- monitorar e relatar o desempenho da infraestrutura para permitir a entrega de serviços; instalar, configurar e manter serviços e componentes de TIC em nuvem;
- monitorar o consumo de recursos provisionados em nuvem, e propor ações de governança;
- monitorar os recursos provisionados em nuvem e propor recomendações de confiabilidade, segurança, desempenho, custo e excelência operacional;
- avaliar o consumo dos recursos criados em ambiente de nuvem, propondo e implementando ações para redução de custos;
- monitorar, medir e relatar eventos de carga, desempenho e segurança; identificar problemas operacionais e contribuir para a sua resolução; realizar procedimentos operacionais acordados, incluindo backup/restore; automatizar tarefas rotineiras de administração do sistema;
- planejar e implementar manutenções e atualizações dos serviços em nuvem; coletar estatísticas de carga e desempenho;
- configurar ferramentas e/ou criar scripts para automatizar o provisionamento, teste e implantação de infraestrutura nova e alterada.

Cloud Engineers play a key role in operating Guidewire's cloud platform and Insurance Suite products, developing tools to optimize system availability and performance for multi-tenant SaaS environments. They work closely with product developers to ensure the platform meets functional and non-functional requirements like performance, observability, and maintainability.
The role requires strong independence, problem-solving skills, and expertise in technologies like Kubernetes and Aurora. Ideal candidates are passionate about automation, eager to learn new tools, and experienced in SaaS production support within cloud-native AWS environments.
Job Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Deploy and operate shared multi-tenant infrastructure for a SaaS microservice-based containerized systems in addition to customer-centric application environments
- Administer and automate the team's growing presence in AWS Operational support for Guidewire's flagship highly integrated Java-based Insurance Suite web applications
- Implement and operate a complex single sign-on SAML/OAuth-based central authentication platform
- Develop and deploy tooling to aid in driving 24x7x365 service operations of critical worldwide systems
- Automate deployment tasks for core product and infrastructure tools and maintain automation infrastructure
- Create system documentation and training materials to empower and educate our own and others.

Required Education, Skills And Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
- Cloud computing experience- AWS preferred.
- Familiarity with the Agile software development lifecycle
- Background with Linux systems administration and strong scripting skills in Bash, Python, Go, etc.
- Experience supporting web applications running on Java / Apache / Tomcat in a live production environment
- Demonstrable experience with automating systems and infrastructure with Terraform
- Production-At-Scale support background in a heavily microservice-based world
- Working with Kubernetes is a plus.
- Strong understanding of Single-Sign On, SAML, oAuth (Bonus points if hands-on experience with Okta)
- Background utilizing and supporting log analytical tools such as DataDog (Logging and APM) Great understanding of DevOps tools, CI/CD and hands-on experience with git, Bitbucket and TeamCity
- Seasoned expertise around x.509 certificate technology and basic concepts of encryption
- Solid understanding of concepts surrounding containerized networking and all things IP
- Experience working with Relational Databases such as Aurora Postgres and/or Oracle RDS
- Advanced exposure to broad technical skills such as application development, web UI (design and development), JSON, application architecture.
- Ability to read and interpret application server thread dumps, Catalina outputs, CloudTrail, and other critical logging outputs.
- Demonstrated ability to embrace AI and apply it to your role as well as use data-driven insights to drive innovation, productivity, and continuous improvement.

Cloud Architecture & Design
Architect & Implement: Serve as the Cloud Expert, designing and implementing cloud-based solutions for LSEG innovation projects from concept to code.
- Cloud Automation: Automate data ingestion from existing LSEG products into Azure or AWS databases.
- Data Stitching: Automate data stitching practices centered around proprietary identifier methodology.
- Application Development: Build client-facing applications to visualize datasets and enable seamless data exploration.
- API Integration: Develop integrations for Windows, Linux, and database environments.

Who are we looknig for?
Cloud Engineer
Project information / tasks:
- Strong proficiency in Cloud Native architectures and technologies;
- Good understanding of Networking principles in cloud-native environments;
- Advanced knowledge and hands-on experience with Containerization platforms (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Operations and maintenance of Cloud
MUST HAVE:
- Foundational understanding of Linux;
- Knowledge of Cloud Platform;
- Knowledge of Compute and Storage systems;
- Familiarity with either NFV/MANO frameworks or the ELK Stack;
- Experience with Containerization platforms (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes.
NICE TO HAVE:
- Experience with scripting (e.g., Bash, PowerShell, Python);
- Expertise in Linux (Debian, Ubuntu) background covering deployment, image build, application, and administration;
- Experience in network system-level solution design;
- Cloud-native technologies (Type-1 and Type-2);
- Certifications in relevant of Cloud, Containerization, etc;
- Experience in StarlingX Cloud;
- Portuguese & Other languages ( nice to have ).
