The Opportunity

We are hiring a Mid-Level UX Writer for our Product team in Brazil ! This role is to join the Product Development team, responsible for content strategy for customer-facing products, and to leverage UX Writer practices and operations. The position will report directly to the Director of UX.

This is a great opportunity to join a growing team in a global ecosystem. The UX Writing team plays a pivotal role in crafting the words and messages that guide users, clients, and partners through Wellhub products and services (from error messages to onboarding flows, our team designs communication solutions to guide and engage, simplifying complex concepts and championing consistency).

• Be the voice of UX Writing in project teams, explaining your rationale to developers, product designers, and product managers. Use creative thinking to approach problems in an innovative way, always challenging the status quo.
• Turn complex concepts into clear, concise, compelling copy considering the brand’s tone and voice, readability, and layout.
• Write interface copy for all Wellhub products. Your work can go from headlines, body copy, calls to action, navigation labels, error messages, onboarding flows and up to FAQs and transactional emails.
• Maintain consistency and storytelling throughout the user's journey within the product.
• Be interested in accessibility basic rules, and investigate how to apply them in your own copy.
• Be an independent thinker and be able to bring in your opinions to constantly improve the voice and tone companyu2019s style guide.
• Work with people across the Wellhub organization and departments to promote UX writing as a discipline.
• Be confident of your UX knowledge, and always be willing to improve. Approach conversations about usability, accessibility, and research. You understand that writing is just a small part of the job.

• An excellent communicator, that doesn’t need a lot of words or jargons to make a point understandable.
• A constant learner of new trends in UX and research. You can’t stop listening to that Monday morning podcast, and you engage in conversations about these topics like a person who just met their first love.
• 2 years of experience (or more) in UX writing, content strategy, technical writing or in any field that focuses on User Experience (not Marketing or Advertising).
• Ability to test with prototypes (rough drafts and sketches, paper prototypes, working prototypes) and live builds is a plus.
• Demonstrate strong analytical and problem solving skills, and the ability to quickly develop recommendations based on tested evidence.
• Excellent communication skills are a must; you need to be able to articulate ideas clearly when speaking in English (Spanish is a huge plus).
• Ability to organize and prioritize while working on multiple, simultaneous projects of varied size and complexity.
• A portfolio with great writing for all sorts of digital experiences - websites, chatbots, apps or games - is a plus.

The Command Center Software & Evidence Product group delivers solutions to the public safety sector. Our products allow customers to respond effectively in mission-critical operating environments. The group is committed to providing technology and tools which will allow customers to focus on their mission, and enable them to respond faster with smarter and safer decisions. Our group deploys and supports products such as Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD), Records Management Systems (RMS), Jail Management Systems and Mobile Data Computing, among other offerings.

Analyzes, develops, designs, and maintains software for the organization’s products and systems. Performs system integration of software and hardware to maintain throughput and program consistency. Develops, validates, and tests: structures and user documentation.

• Perform full-stack application development. On the backend you will use Java and C#. On the front-end you will use Angular.
• Code, build and test sophisticated digital experiences, services and cloud platforms.
• Interact cross-functionally with Engineering, Operations, Product, and QA teams.
• Design approaches supportive of CC RMS multi-tenant SaaS architecture.
• Help convert functional requirements into technical designs addressing high-level business and use-case objectives.
• Implement platform features in a cloud environment using cloud technologies and tools.
• Develop and share industry and product technical expertise.

• Bachelor degree in Computer Science or co-related areas in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics)
• 4+ years’ experience developing for highly scalable and available systems.
• Experience must include the following: Java, J2EE, Spring, C#, .NET Core, HTML, CSS, Angular and JavaScript; Object Oriented Concepts, Data Structures, REST and/or SOA Services, Web technologies and internet protocols.
• Familiarity with Cloud platforms, Azure preferred (AWS or GCP are also welcome).
• Proficiency with SQL and databases.
• Excellent knowledge in practicing architectural and design patterns, open source platforms, frameworks, technologies and software engineering methodologies.
• API design & implementation experience.
• UI development and engineering experience delivering front-end features.
• Experience developing innovative solutions that meet organizational needs with respect to functionality, performance, scalability, reliability, realistic implementation schedules, and alignment to development goals and principles.
• Experience working with the Agile development methodology.
• Excellent cross-functional communication skills.
• Advanced English - be able to communicate effectively in English (read, write and speak)

• Knowledgeable about organizations served by Motorola Solutions (state and local public safety, facilities / property management).
• Postgraduate degree in Computer Science or co-related areas
