The Supply Chain Manager will lead strategic inventory optimization initiatives for Amazon Brazil, focusing on building robust metrics and management foundations while integrating broader supply chain impacts.
In this role you will:
- Develop and implement inventory optimization strategies, balancing cost efficiency with service level requirements
- Create and maintain key performance metrics to track inventory health, turnover rates, and stockout prevention
- Design scalable processes for inventory planning and positioning, considering network constraints and delivery speed targets
- Ensure alignment between inventory strategies and broader supply chain goals, including transportation efficiency and FC capacity
- Lead stakeholder engagement across finance, operations, and planning teams to drive inventory optimization initiatives
- Build comprehensive inventory management playbooks and standard operating procedures
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends, optimization opportunities, and potential risks
- Drive continuous improvement projects to reduce carrying costs and improve inventory accuracy
- Support central teams in developing strategic inventory planning for annual operating plans
- Lead initiatives to scale inventory operations and implement automation solutions
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in inventory management, strong analytical capabilities, and the ability to translate data insights into actionable strategies. They should possess excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple teams and levels of the organization.
Key job responsibilities
Inventory Optimization
- Lead strategies for inventory levels and placement optimization
- Develop and track key performance metrics
- Design scalable inventory planning processes
Cross-functional Leadership
- Partner with finance, operations, and supply chain teams
- Drive stakeholder engagement for inventory initiatives
- Support strategic planning and validate financial impacts
Process & Analytics
- Establish inventory management procedures
- Lead automation and process improvement projects
- Analyze data for optimization opportunities
- Implement best practices and benchmarking
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience in program or project management
- Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
- Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
- Supply chain experience
- Advanced English, both written and oral
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field
- Experience leading process improvements
